Star Performer Award Ceremony
May 23, 2013 at Village Hall at 9:30 a.m.
To nominate someone for the
Star Performer Award you select
someone who works in a shop or
business who goes out of their
way to make you feel special,
and who makes Great Neck
Plaza a better place for you to
live, work, shop and play. Potential “Star Performers”
greet you with a smile, are eager to help, treat you with
dignity, respect and patience so that it’s a genuine
pleasure to do business in the Plaza. Just fill out the Nomination Form and send it back to

nominate a “Star Performer,” and join us on Thursday,
May 23, 2013 at 9:30 a.m. for a really “feel good”
ceremony at Village Hall.

Susquehanna Road to the Village Green
Come on down and show Pride in the Great Neck Community as the parade goes through Thomaston, Great Neck Plaza, Kensington, Great Neck Estates and Great Neck. A full complement of community organizations, Great Neck High School bands, the Merchant Marine Academy cadets and lots more. Memorial Day is dedicated to service men and women who gave their lives for freedom and country. Honor these persons in the armed services by watching or participating in the parade, which is a short 2.5 mile route to the Village Green. They have our admiration and thanks for serving to ensure our freedom and maintain our great democratic nation

Poetry Contest Winners Announcement

Starting Spring, 2011 and being displayed monthly throughout the year, the Village will be brightened by the addition of poetry selections placed inside various sign posts throughout the Plaza, at Village hall and on the bulletin board inside of the ticket building at the LIRR train station.
There will be a new poem presented each month and it will be graphically displayed to attract people to stop and read them while walking our streets. colors and style of graphics will vary with each season. "This program, another cultural arts project presented by the Village, is to promote the arts and bring literature to life for our residents. We hope you read and enjoy them" said Deputy Mayor Rosen. The poems can be viewed at the following locations:
