Forms and Guidelines

If you are the owner of a landmarked property or a site in a historic district, you are required to submit an Application for a Certificate of Appropriateness to the Commission for any visible changes to your building from the outside. This includes awnings and signage, painting and roofing, along with changes to entrances, windows and other visible exterior features.

The Application for the Certificate of Appropriateness can be downloaded here. Please complete the application and submit all the required documentation to the Village Building Department, at least 1 week prior to the meeting. We recommend that applicants attend the Commission’s meetings in order to discuss your project.
